The best part about volunteering with Hope Rising is knowing that your time and talents can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families who need support. Our volunteers help strengthen our community by assisting with outreach, special events, resources distribution, donation drives, and programs such as Women Rising Together. Their support helps Hope Rising reach more people, increase awareness of available resources, and connect individuals and families with organizations that may be able to help. Every volunteer contributes to our mission of rebuilding hope, strengthening families, and helping people move toward greater safety, stability, and independence.
Diverse volunteer opportunities
Hope Rising welcomes volunteers in several important areas. We especially need assistance with community events, outreach, administrative and office support, donation and supply drives, preparing resource materials, and Women Rising Together programs. Volunteers may help with event setup and registration, organizing donated items, making outreach calls, preparing informational packets, assisting with community resource fairs, and supporting day-to-day administrative tasks. We also welcome volunteers who have skills in fundraising, grant research, marketing, social media, community engagement, and building partnerships. Volunteer opportunities are matched with each person's interests, skills, and availability.
Qualities we value in our volunteers
You don't need special experience to make a difference with Hope Rising. We welcome individuals with a heart for helping others and a desire to strengthen our community. Training and guidance will be provided when needed for specific volunteer roles. We value volunteers who are compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental; dependable and responsible; patient and willing to listen; respectful of privacy and confidentiality; comfortable working with people from different backgrounds; able to work as part of a team; committed to treating individuals and families with dignity; and willing to learn and follow Hope Rising's policies and procedures. Some specialized volunteer opportunities may require relevant experience, training, screening, or a background check depending on the responsibilities involved. Most importantly, we're looking for people who believe in our mission and want to help individuals and families move toward hope, safety, stability, and independence.
